First timer from the Metroplex, Lisa uses encaustic medium, oil paint sticks, pastels, and old books creating 2-D mixed media works of art inspired by metaphors of life and faith. If you look closely you will find old Bibles and hymnals used in the layered process of sketching, painting, carving and sculpting. Her art reflects her personal faith journey of lament, joy, hope, and beauty.
