James Koukl
“I paint for me, not anyone else,” says James Koukl. Most often he paints landscapes and animal portraits. Currently he is finishing a commission of animals for the Madison, Wisconsin zoo and some of those will be on display at the Edom Arts Festival. There are times when abstracts take his fancy, Koukl’s preferred media is watercolor, or watercolor with mixed media. Occasionally an acrylic painting will creep into the mix. His painting sell for $25 – $600.
